3. Statement Bathtub

If you're aiming for a high-end, spa-like feel, a statement bathtub is a must-have. Not only does it serve as a stunning focal point, but it also elevates the entire space with a sense of luxury and calm. Whether it’s for a long soak or simply to enhance the room’s aesthetic, a standout tub adds timeless elegance and invites true relaxation.

4. Heated Floors

If you’re investing in your bathroom and want to take it to the next level, adding heated floors is a must. Imagine walking into your bathroom in the early morning hours with warm tiles underfoot. A few of our clients have added this and they say it's the best thing ever.

5. Custom Storage

If you’ve been reading me for a while, you know I love creating solutions for my clients, and one of my favorite ones is built-ins or cabinetry to create a more organized space, and of course, to give the room an appealing look. If you’re remodeling your bathroom, consider your storage needs Think about the items you use everyday and how you want to store them.

In this Cozy Family Sanctuary Project our clients had great storage! We painted the cabinetry white, and it changed completely. We went from outdated dark beige to modern bright white!

6. Upgraded Lighting

Lighting can make or break your space. To create a bathroom that feels both relaxing and cozy, incorporating layered lighting is key.  By combining ambient, task, and accent lighting, you strike the perfect balance between style and functionality—bringing warmth, depth, and purpose to every corner of the room. 

In our Warm and Timeless Traditional Project, we included luxury lighting by adding layers and mixed metals for a look that will never go out of style, polished nickel plumbing fixtures, black mattes in the lighting and cabinet hardware. 

7. High-quality Fixtures

When choosing your fixtures, focus on durability and performance. Invest in elements that will give you a return on your money. Some of my top recommendations for you are:

1. For a high-end classic look, choose all white bathroom fixtures (toilets, sinks, tubs, etc.).
2. Include a timeless tile, like white porcelain or marble.
3. Mix metals in your bathroom for a luxury feel.

8. Beautiful Tile Work

Tile can define the whole look of your bathroom, and adding a tile wall can elevate the look of your room. As mentioned, your tile should go up to the ceiling to upgrade your room’s look. 

I like to follow the Rule of Three  when adding tile, which means not adding more than three tile styles to the same space. Otherwise, it will get too crowded, and it will be hard to create one focal point.

We are loving how Project Light and Bright turned out by mixing and matching tiles in the shower and tub, but keeping the same tone, giving the room a glamorous look! 

9. Thoughtful Details

Last but certainly not least important are thoughtful details. Remember that when you’re remodeling a bathroom in your home, you create something unique that speaks to your lifestyle and needs, adding thoughtful details like stylish hardware, framed mirrors, paint, and even a shampoo niche for functionality and aesthetics.

Our Classic Black and White Project clients requested a more open, fresh, and welcoming space. To achieve this goal, we focused on updating the layout by removing a wall and introducing a classic black-and-white design that our clients really loved. This timeless color scheme brings a crisp, clean look to the bathrooms while maintaining a sense of elegance and functionality.
