FAQs

  • What is the process?

    Initial Consultation & Onboarding

    Approximately 2 weeks

Every project begins with an in-home consultation. We discuss your needs, wants, and how your family will use the space. This meeting allows us to determine the scope of work and share our initial ideas and expert recommendations.

    Design Phase

    Approximately 4-6 weeks

While you won't hear from us much during this

phase, our whole team is hard at work pulling

together all the elements to bring your design to life. We'll create floor plans and elevations, source fixtures and furnishings, and select finishes to create your custom design.

Once all the finishing touches on your design are complete, you'll enjoy an in studio presentation where we'll review your complete design and all of the details, including elevations, design boards, renderings, fabric swatches, finish samples, tear sheets, and proposals.

    Project Management

Approximately 3-9 months or longer depending on the scope of the project

Once the design plan is approved and your

proposals have been paid, our team will begin

purchasing, tracking, and double-checking that each item arrives correctly at our white glove delivery receiving warehouse.

During this time we keep you updated on the progres of your project. We believe frequent communication makes for a smooth project.

    Installation

    1-2 days

The final phase is where the magic happens - your installation! We'll coordinate the delivery of your furnishings and be on-site on your install day to ensure everything is in its place. We'll bring accessories selected specifically for you to add the finishing touches to tie it all together, leaving you with a complete space ready to enjoy.

  • How soon should I hire a designer?

The sooner the better! Seriously, as soon as you know you want to start a project, hiring a designer can help you make the best decisions for moving forward whether it’s for a kitchen renovation or a living room furnishings project.

As far as new-builds go, I highly recommend hiring a designer from the get-go. A designer knows how you want to live in your home and that’s crucial when creating the floor plans. A designer will help you make all of the material and finish selections and we want to make those decisions before they start the building process.

A designer is particularly good at lighting, switches and outlet placement in a room. Imagine walking into a dark room and not finding the light switch right away or not having an outlet close enough to plug in a lamp!

  • Do you sell furnishings?

One of the benefits of working with a designer is access to our to-the-trade only furnishings. We have relationships with wholesale vendors and attend High Point Market every year to check out new products.

    Benefits:

    • Hassle-free ordering, installation, and delivery.
    • Products sourced from trusted vendors.
    • Custom furnishings tailored to your lifestyle.
  • Do you work on new-builds?

We would love to be part of the team for your new-build! Architects, builders and interior designers each play a vital role when it comes to a project. We have worked with a number of contractors over the years and know what they need to have in order to make your vision come to life.

Building a home is a process and one that comes with some stress! Let us assist you and help manage the project so you can give your attention to your work and family.
