I’m excited to share with you another project reveal where we helped our clients achieve a more cohesive and functional home.
Our client reached out because they didn’t feel their home felt finished, as if it was missing something. On top of that, they had a couple of pieces that weren’t serving their intended purpose. With our design approach, we transformed a home that was lacking something into a cozy and comfortable space that they love.

Cozy Chic Bungalow Project Reveal
When our clients express that their home
“doesn’t feel finished,” they usually mean
it’s missing the elements that make it feel complete, intentional, and cohesive. This aspect is vital to loving your home.
For this project, we started tackling this obstacle by pulling up what was lacking in this space:
- We saw empty walls with large bare spots with no artwork or décor.
- Oversized furniture pieces, which had let our clients feel buyer’s remorse. Initially, our clients wanted a sectional, but because they were told it would be too big, they ended up purchasing two pieces that weren’t serving their purpose.
- Lack of color and warmth.
So, with that challenge in mind, we created a plan for this home with the following approach:
- Make it Cozy and Complete: Our client requested a warm and cozy space. They wanted a home where every element would fall into place, not only aesthetically but also functionally.
- Natural Lighting: This space, particularly the living room, receives natural light, so we used this feature to our advantage by incorporating elements that enhance the overall design.
- Custom Furniture Pieces: We took our clients' requests and sourced furnishings in their required shape and form, featuring a performance fabric that is ideal for enduring the test of time.
- Details that make the difference: Adding small changes, such as wallpaper and custom pieces, helps us elevate the look of this home and complete it from start to end.
Now that you’ve got the general idea of where we’re headed, let’s get into the specifics of each room’s design.
Family Room
The family room is a great space; the sizing is perfect, it’s large with plenty of natural light, and it has a wall of built-ins, which we love, because they give a modern look to a room and help keep an organized home by reducing clutter. It simply needed warmth and texture, and that's where we jumped in.
Our approach consisted of painting the walls a warm neutral and adding texture to the back of the bookshelves with wallpaper, which is one of my favorite elements for transforming a blank wall.
In this room, we sourced the sectional that my client wanted, in an easy-to-clean, kid- and pet-friendly fabric, and a swivel chair in a warm butterscotch fabric, also easy to clean.
We also sourced artwork for the walls and a few new accessories to complement our client's existing ones on the bookshelves.
Our client has a beautiful green kitchen, and we incorporated a touch of that color into the family room with the addition of pillows.
A special detail for this room was an end table that belonged to my client’s grandmother, which we had refinished so we could use it in the design. I love how we were able to preserve a sentimental piece and incorporate it into the entire remodeling project.

Primary Bedroom
When we first stepped into this room during our design consultation, it felt a bit cold and lacking personality, and we really wanted to make it feel warm and cozy.
Before Pictures
Our client’s goal was to elevate their bedding, and we wanted to recreate a hotel boutique look with a luxury touch.
With our design approach, we added texture to the walls with a beautiful blue wallpaper, which made the room come to life.
Another key item on our list was to source new bedding, and please note the beautiful custom pillows, one of which features an animal print, which my client favored.
We sourced large artwork for the walls to bring a touch of nature and greenery, which always brings a room to life. We swapped out the rug for a new one with more color to tie everything together.
I love the contrast between all the colors and textures! It really makes this space flow naturally and beautifully!
Lastly, we included a floor mirror and a small mirror over the bed to help increase the natural light. The magic is all in the details, and our client is so happy with how everything turned out!
