Stylish Small Home Office Setup
April 17, 2020

Are you working from home? Given the current circumstances, I imagine many of us are working from home. I have created 4 mini office designs with my favorite desks and chairs for a stylish small home office setup. Plus I’ve got some ideas to help you set up an office space at home.

These desks all come highly recommended with great reviews. I selected two smaller ones that would work great for a kids’ space and two larger ones that are perfect if you have more room. I love the wood tones and clean lines that would work well in any space.

STYLISH SMALL HOME OFFICE DESKS

See how I used this modern farmhouse style desk in this warm and cozy office space.

TIP: Place your desk so that you are facing the door or a window. It’s helpful to take a break from work and look outside.

If you’re thinking about options for shelves in an office, take a look at this post for built-ins vs. store-bought ones.

I like how the gray one has shelves for extra organization – perfect for kids doing at-home schooling.

TIP: Place a tray on the shelves or top of your desk to corral papers.

Next up are some desk chairs that I have selected. These look so comfy and will pair perfectly with any of the desks. With these you get a high-end look but for a lower price.

STYLISH SMALL HOME OFFICE CHAIRS

If you are looking for a mini home office set up, check out these mini design boards complete with a rug and task lamp. Notice how adding a rug adds so much personality.

TIP: Good lighting is a must in any space. Think about having an overhead light plus task lighting such as the desk lamps.

Maybe you have an extra bedroom that no one is using that you could turn into an at-home office. Or perhaps you have a little nook or a corner in the living room to place a small desk to work.

TIP: Don’t forget a rug to add warmth and coziness to your office space.

A Thoughtful Place

I love how Courtney, from A Thoughtful Place set up a temporary office here in an unused guest bedroom. I love all of the soft colors.

TIP: Don’t forget to add a plant in your office even if it’s just a small one on your desk.

Tell me, where do you work at home? In an office or do you have a workspace elsewhere in your home? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for stopping by!
