How to pair it to achieve a perfect combination

Do you recognize a familiar face in the palette above? Yes, I’m talking about Urbane Bronze, the 2021 Sherwin Williams Color of the Year. It fits just perfectly with this palette.

In this project from 2021, I combined these colors. It’s not exactly Evergreen Fog, but they’re very similar, which I love because we can always mix, match and combine elements that merge well. Wouldn’t you like to host your Sunday Football parities in this living room? Or having a Galentine’s get-together? This living room emanates coziness. 

An important thing I always tell my clients before painting a room is that they should do a test or trial of what it will look like. You want to make sure the result is the same as your idea or plan.

Take a look at this other example from Sherwin Williams. Can you identify the colors we mentioned above? This mix of colors creates a perfect study/office corner to help you concentrate more and get things done. 

Now take a look at this entryway to greet your guests. Urbane Bronze is a great color for this door, which creates richness in this space. Notice how the wood console table gives a lot of character to this space. I would want to walk into this house every single day!

And last but not least, check out this living room, from Sherwin Williams. I saved the best for last. These sofas certainly make a statement. The cognac color is warm, classic, and timeless. It works so well with Evergreen Fog on the walls, providing a softer look to the whole room. The result is an earthy and relaxed mood, which is perfect to read your favorite book or just spend time with your loved ones.

My inspiration using Evergreen Fog

Since I love what I do, I decided to make a mood board inspired by the color of this year.  I chose a bathroom, and my goal here was to apply warmth and a cozy look. 

• Starting with this Hillcrest Area Rug  - a traditional and timeless pattern that incorporates different colors: from beige, light pink, and light blue to help bring life to this room. The great thing about this rug is that you can use it in any room, which gives you possibilities to experiment and recreate a similar look in the rest of your house.
• The grey vanity brings a classic look with a marble top as well as a sophisticated feeling for this bathroom.
• Use a mirror for light and reflection here. This classic and contemporary element is simple and balances out the squareness of the vanity . 
• The next element is the wall sconce. It has an elegant brushed nickel finish that is perfect for this decorating style. 
• Like I always say, it’s important to add some greenery to every space because it brings life to a room. In this bathroom, the plant adds a fresh feeling.
• Last, but not least, the basket provides texture to the rest of the elements of the room. creating a warm and cozy sensation.
