How do you like to celebrate St Patrick’s Day? I’ll admit I don’t do much, but I do like the color green. What about green home decor? Today, I thought I would show how to use green in your home.
PLANTS
Green is calming, and Mother Nature does it best. Actually, my favorite way to use green in my home is with plants and florals, live or faux.
Plants add texture, bring joy and liven up a room.

Of course, there are other ways to use green in all of its beautiful shades.
CABINETRY
Would you paint your kitchen cabinets green?
These green cabinets are beautiful! Such a deep and dramatic shade that makes a huge statement. This color pairs well with gold, black and white, and navy, just as Emily Clark has done here.
What about the laundry room?
Mint is one of my favorite colors. This mint green laundry room from the Sunny Side Up is gorgeous. It’s so fresh and pairs well with coral, gray, pink, navy, silver or gold. The options are endless.
FURNITURE
This client wanted to incorporate earth tones in her home office.
I brought in these lime green club chairs for this sitting area. Now my client can have one on one conversations with her clients. This color works well with browns, grays, creams, black and white, and even pale blue.
ACCENT WALL
Don’t want to commit to an entire room of green? How about this green accent wall by Angela Rose Home?
This girl has mad skills and can DIY anything and everything! I love this accent wall. You can see how it really warms up the space – very cozy and inviting.
PILLOWS
Then, if you don’t want to make a big commitment, just add some green throw pillows to your sofa or bed.
I love this combination from Haden Home! The green with the thin stripes pairs beautifully with the floral. Perfect for spring!
