When I’m at home during the summer, I like to feel like I’m on vacation, even if I’m not. I like easy-going, carefree and relaxed. I also like the color white. Let’s look at some ideas for how to decorate your home for summer with white.
White is clean and crisp. Add some finishing touches of white to your room for an instant refresh. Plus, I’ve created some mood boards to help inspire you.

White pillows are an easy way to switch up the décor in your bedroom or living room. These with stripes and tassels are some of my favorite and are very affordable.
Are you in need of new bedding? Switch out you current comforter or duvet cover for a white one. Your room will instantly feel fresh. I love a white duvet because it reminds me of a high-end hotel.
Add a collection of white candleholders or lanterns to the center of your dining room table. By the way, these Serena and Lily dining chairs are some of my favorite chairs right now. They are perfect for a breakfast table or even a beach home.
Do you have heavy draperies at your windows? Try swapping them out for some lighter weight ones or white ones.
A beautiful white pitcher or vase with some summer flowers is always a good way to brighten the day.

Use white towels in the kitchen and bathroom for a fresh vibe. These are so cute with the blue stripe. Plus, you can bleach white towels.
I love these black and white striped ones.
Plant some flowers outside by your front door. Nothing says “Welcome!” like a new rug and flowers on the front porch. This door mat has a friendly message for your visitors. Then layer the doormat on top of a patterned rug for some fun style.
See this post for more front porch inspiration.
Where do you like to travel during the summer months? Take a picture from a favorite vacation and frame it for a change of scenery at home. Also, try the Waterlogue app on your phone to turn your photo into a watercolor print! It’s so easy and fun!
The white frames with white mats are also speaking summer to me.
Pick up an easy-to-care-for succulent and place it somewhere in your living room. I’ve had this one from Trader Joe’s for a few months, and so far so good. Fingers crossed it stays that way for me!
Thanks for stopping by. Are you ready for summer? Have a great day!
