Today I would like to take you on my family room Christmas tour. This is probably my favorite time of year. I love everything about it from the music and celebrations, to the extra time spent with family. 

Welcome to the family room. I like to keep it simple and use neutral colors and greenery with a few pops of color for most of my décor.

Gold and silver are one of my favorite color combinations for Christmas! I use a variety of textures like shiny and matte ornaments and satin ribbons to keep it interesting.

This nativity belonged to my grandmother. This is really pretty at night when the lights are twinkling. I simply clipped a few pieces of greenery to add to this shelf. FIREPLACE MANTLE

The mantle is simply two faux garlands, a few eucalyptus stems and several ornaments. I also added a string of lights. So simple. I used a couple of ornament hangers for the stockings, but the others are attached with command hooks. Add a couple of candlesticks in the back and you’re done!

The details matter! I love the the pom poms and different knit textures of the stockings. You can find these stockings here. Add some green velvet ribbon for an extra detail.

A close up of our family tree. I don’t over dress the tree either, but I do like a lot of lights, ribbon, and a silver polka-dot bow to top it off!

Here’s a view from the kitchen. These berry stems add just enough red for me.
