I love a good before and after room makeover. I am very excited to show you my client’s new contemporary styled family room.

This beautiful home with 2-story ceilings, vaulted ceilings, a large kitchen with 2 islands, and lots of moldings belongs to my client.  After 15 years, it was time for some new paint and furnishings. My client asked for a bright, clean, and fresh contemporary space.  Take a look at some before shots. 

I put together a design board including my clients’ favorite colors blue and yellow. In this case, my client wanted to keep the entertainment center, and I suggested they keep the leather club chairs since they are a classic style and add warmth to the space. Everything else was taken out.

A grouping of new accessories adds a modern touch to the entertainment center.

I love this stone fireplace in the room and what better place to add a mirror! This round mirror balances out all of the straight lines from the windows and fireplace mantle. Don’t you love the stripes on the vases?

When it comes to accessories, groupings of 3 are always a good idea!

I love to put a sectional and ottoman in a family room. Sectionals are comfy and perfect for movie watching nights. Ottomans can be used as a coffee table and for propping up your feet.

Here is a little peek at the kitchen. The cabinets got a fresh coat of light gray paint. As soon as the new light fixtures are in I will give you a full tour of the new kitchen. It’s an awesome transformation!
