Hello friends! Do you like to entertain dinner guests? Today, I thought I would share my tips for setting a table for Thanksgiving, including my 5 must-haves for a table setting. I don’t believe you have to have a holiday just to set the table. These tips will also work for any family dinner or casual meal with friends. The setting just adds a special touch.
This table seats 6 people, but can be extended at each end to seat up to 12. In fact, I keep two extra dining chairs nearby to pull up to the table when needed. Our chairs, which you can find here, are very comfortable and are great quality.
I’m a minimalist when it comes to setting the table and prefer to not spend a lot of money on table decor. I like festive, but not overdone. Most of these items I already had around my home. You’ll notice I like to keep the height low for the centerpiece so it’s easy to have a conversation across the table.
I have 2 sets of white dishes we use everyday that I like to mix and match. White will work with anything else you want to add to your table.
These placemats add texture and will coordinate with any napkins or decor for your table. You can find these placemats here. They are very versatile and budget-friendly.
